Good condition. Red boards with bevelled edges. Grey border and pictorial onlay of Samuel Whiskers. Larger format. Colour and b/w illustrations. 69 pages.
Spine and corners bumped and rubbed. Small split to front edge of spine. Covers are marked and unevenly faded. New front endpaper. Colour bleeding a little from bottom corners onto endpapers which are browned. Front endpaper is creased at top corner. Joints and a couple of hinges are cracked but binding remains firm. Inscription (dated 1911) in ink to half title page. Some foxing and fingering. Colouring to some of the black and white illustrations. 8cm tear to the margin of one plate. 2nd issue of 1st edition.
