Fine condition. Limited Edition Cased Set, special numbered edition of 100 sets to commemorate the centenary of the first publication in 1906. Small format book with cream cloth and silver titles. 56 numbered pages, all edges gilt. With explanatory leaflet giving a brief biography of Beatrix Potter and the history of the publication of The Story of a Fierce Bad Rabbit. Contained in a brown hinged box with silver title and rectangular onlay to front. Also includes a brown leather foil-blocked bookmark.
It is unlikely the book has ever been opened (still a very tight binding). The presentation box is further protected by a white card slip band. This is copy no. 59. Contained in original brown packaging box (with limitation details label to front) and 'cotton' (referring to binding) written in blue biro to front, dent to base of box. This copy would make a wonderful gift.
