Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. Beatrix Potter wrote this tale in 1907, basing it on a true story. She never did illustrate it and the manuscript did not come to light until after her death, when a small edition was published. Now re-issued with beautiful colour illustrations by the noted artist Marie Angel whose work has been favourably compared to Potter. White pictorial boards. 47pp. 6.5 x 5". A charming little book.
Small indentation to lower edge of front cover. Endpapers are partly browned. Dustwrapper is lightly browned with a couple of small foxspots.
