The author analyzes the rooms designed by Bloomsbury artists as spaces in which to be modern. This book traces the development of Bloomsbury's domestic aesthetic from the group's influential promulgation of Post-Impressionism in Britain around 1910 through the 1930s. Large format. Light browning to text block. Title page has light marks from colour imprinting from facing colour frontispiece. Otherwise, contents clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is lightly browned, old price label to rear panel. The book has a lingering cigarette odour.
