A readable but tightly organised account of Georgian Lewes, a county town at the height of its economic and cultural vigour. Blue cloth boards, gilt title to spine and vignette to front. Cream pictorial endpapers, b/w illustrations throughout. ISBN: 0952242303. Name & date in ink to half-title page. Minor foxing to top edge of text block. Blue dustwrapper is faded to spine and top front edge, lightly edge-creased and a couple of small nicks to spine.
