Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper.
Red cloth. B/w illustrations throughout. A serious study of Georgian society and social life. A perceptive and revealing historical record. The author is a graduate of Cambridge University, and an authority on 18th Century England. Bumping to corners. A few marks to endpapers and outer page edges. Wrapper is price-cut with chips and tears; a little loss; browned to spine; a few grubby marks.

Large oblong format. Colour illustrations taken from 'The Microcosm of London' published by Rudolph Ackermann between 1808-1810. ISBN: 095096980X. wrapper creased at top of spine.
