Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper. Cecily and Nicholas discover and unmask a plot which would have ruined Nicholas's father, a wealthy wool merchant. The story is set in the Cotswolds in 1493. Beige boards, red title to spine and vignette to front cover. B/w illustrations. Carnegie Medal Winner for 1952.
Bumping and wear to spine and corners. Some uneven fading to cover edges; a few foxspots. Browning/foxing to some pages and outer page edges. White marks/residue to a couple of pages internally. Wrapper is price-cut with foxing, browning and grubby marks.
