Almost very good condition. Red cloth spine, pictorial front board. Illustrated with numerous original wood engravings and twelve full-page coloured plates. 88 pages.
Spine bumped, worn and slightly darkened. Corners and cover edges worn and chipped. A few small marks to covers including a little surface paper damage to bottom edge of front cover and 1.5" scratch to rear cover. Front joint just starting to crack. Ink inscription to front endpaper also 1" closed tear. A little browning to endpapers. Slight loss to bottom margin of page 7/8. A few grubby fingermarks and marks to contents but generally clean.
