Almost very good condition. Red leather-look covers with gilt titles to spines. The Construction, Working Principles, and Practical Operation of Steam Locomotives. B/w illustrations and photos. Some fold-out pages. Colour frontis to volume I and colour fold-out diagram to volume II.
Bumping and wear to spines and corners. Some splitting to spines, especially on Volume I - which has some fraying to cloth. Foxing and page browning. Scuffing to cover edges. 2 folding plates are MISSING from Volume 2.
