Fine condition. Two volumes. Very large format. Bound in goatskin with pictorial cloth. Limited to 1000 numbered copies. 537 illustrations reproduced in facsimile from the original watercolours in the British Museum. Printed on Modigliani Neve paper, specially selected to match the original Whatman paper stock.
Copy no. 126. Contained in a fine drop-back box with leather title label to spine. Unfortunately the companion commentary volume which was despatched at a later date by the Folio Society never made it into this set, the space is filled by a polystyrene block with a label telling you what should be there. Box corners are slightly bumped. REDUCED FROM £750.
