  • The Second Our Brother Nick adventure, the one that really started in the old quarry.
  • Nick's huge hound comes into it (and it's just as well for Nick that he did), and of course their kid brother gets Pip and Gaye mixed up in something that very soon involves some rather exciting detective work.
  • Pip tells it all in his racy, easy-to-read way. No one would have thought a few cricket balls would start off such important adventure.
  • Even Pip and Gaye didn't guess how important it was until they had 'got their man' - with Nick's help.
