Almost very good condition. 7 x 5". Blue embossed cloth, gilt title to spine and vignette to front cover. 6 hand-coloured plates with tissue-guards. 200 pages plus 32 page booklist to rear. All edges gilt.
Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. A few tiny dents to cover edges, light rubbing to sides of spine. A couple of light white marks to rear cover. Spine slightly darkended. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Some light fingering and foxing to page margins. Front joint a few hinges cracked. Tiny binders sticker (Bone & Son, London) to rear pastedown and a couple of small tape marks. Generally a nice copy of a scarce Victorian children's book.
