Almost very good condition.
Being and account of the battle and of the events which led up to it, white a collection of the poems and ballads written there-upon between 1805 and 1905. Blue cloth, gilt titles. B/w illustrations. Spine bumped with nicks at top and tail. Corners and spine edges rubbed. Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper. Foxing to endpapers and prelims, tissue-guard to frontis is browned with a tear at lower edge.

Henry Newbolt
Sir Henry John Newbolt, CH (6 June 1862 – 19 April 1938) was an English poet, novelist and historian. He also had a very powerful role as a government adviser, particularly on Irish issues and with regard to the study of English in England. He is perhaps best remembered for his poems "Vitaï Lampada" and "Drake's Drum".
