• For ten years the occasional plane or ship has been disappearing after entering the 'Bermuda Triangle' in the western Atlantic but the facts have been hushed up. Now the Prime Minister of Great Britain and the President of the United States have vanished and the mystery can no longer be ignored.
• The United Nations Exploration Agency is ordered to solve it and the Director sends for his Deputy, Chris Godfrey.
