Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. A description of distinctive features of the Great Western Railway with particular reference to the liveries of locomotives, rolling stock, road vehicles, buildings and uniforms, an account of permanent way and signal practice and notes on the original liveries of the companies it absorbed. Brown cloth, gilt title to spine and front cover. B/w photos. B/w diagrams. 274 pages.

3rd impression. Spine and corners bumped. A few small spots to contents but generally very good. Dustwrapper is worn with small piece of loss to top edge of rear panel and a large stain affecting panels and spine.
