Almost very good condition in a slightly better than good dustwrapper. Intensely detailed pages - with the ingenious half-page that alters the scene - chronicle the changes that overtake an English village from a clearing in medieval times to a bustling modern town. Rural life remained remarkably untouched - until the advent of the motor car... Grey boards. Gilt titles to spine. Large oblong format. No text.
Spine and corners bumped and worn. Board edges rubbed. Front joint beginning to crack. Light vertical crease to front and rear endpaper. Contents are clean. Pictorial dustwrapper is edge worn with a few tears and slight loss to top and bottom of spine. Some tears have been mended with tape on verso. Creasing to panels and flaps. Writing in ink to verso of wrapper. Some marks to wrapper and verso.
