Almost very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. The Appleby family may have to sell their farm! That is the catastrophe which the four children are determined to avert. How they suceed - helped by their white Alsation, Skipper - is an exciting story. Green cloth boards, yellow title block and decoration to spine with black title. B/w illustrations.
Boards unevenly faded, small white stain to top front edge. Foxing mainly to endpapers. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Contents otherwise clean. Price-cut pictorial dustwrapper is lightly edge-worn, has a large closed tear to front panel and smaller tear to base of spine (no loss and repaired to verso with clear tape), rear panel grubby.
