Almost very good condition in a slightly better than good dustwrapper. Extracts from the 12 volume work 'The Golden Bough'. Blue cloth, gilt titles and vignette. B/w plates. 249 pages.
Possibly SIGNED by author to front pastedown. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Covers unevenly faded. Pencil writing to front pastedown. Endpapers browned. Foxing mainly to prelims and last few pages, also to some page edges. An occasional margin mark otherwise contents are mostly clean. Dustwrapper is edgeworn, creased with several tears, including one to spine. Loss to top of rear panel and spine and a little to bottom of spine. Brown paper has been used to strengthen edges. Wrapper is browned and grubby.
