Nearly fine condition in a nearly fine dustwrapper. Dark blue cloth boards, gilt title to spine. The first woman to be cleared to fly four-engined heavy bombers during her service with the Air Transport Auxiliary. Her post-war career in British aviation included highlights such as racing a Spitfire against some of the finest British test pilots. B/w photos.

SIGNED by author (without dedication) on title page. This copy would make a wonderful gift.
