Good condition. It all came about because Mrs. Rufus Rabbit (Peter Rabbit's Ma) had suddenly become very strict about the comings and goings of Peter Rabit, Molly Cottontail and Flopsy and Mopsy. Pale green pictorial boards. Illustrated endpapers. Full-page colour and b/w text illustrations throughout, illustrated endpapers.
Spine and corners worn. Some light marks to top edge of front cover. Title-strip is split and lightly damp stained. Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper. Pale page browning. Tear to lower margin of one of the colour illustrations. Rear free-endpaper is torn with loss at top edge.
