Bomber Command's campaign started on the very first day of the Second World War and ended within a few hours of the final victory in Europe five and a half years later. It was an attempt to win a war in Europe by strategic bombing on such an enormous scale that historians are only now piecing together the finer details of the individual raids. Reprint in same year as first publication. Light vertical crease to spine (reading wear). Else boards clean. Text block lightly browned and a little grubby, a few foxspots. Contents clean. Grey pictorial dustwrapper with red titlesis ligthly browned, lightly faded to spine, lightly edge-rubbed.
