  • Set in Ireland in the ninth century, this is a story built around the few historical facts that are known of those times. Our own King Alfred was still a prince at his father's court when Malachy was the chief king of Ireland, ruling from his establishment on the hills above Lake Owel. The central figure is a charming and courageous young girl who uses her intelligence and common sense to overcome adversity.
