Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper.
This comprehensive book explores the evolution of genre painting throughout the Dutch Golden Age, beginning in the early 1600s and continuing through the opening years of the next century. Large heavy format. Black cloth boards, gilt title to spine. Colour & b/w illustrations. vii and 328 pages including index. ISBN: 0300102372. Slight bumping to top & tail of spine and corners. Text block a little grubby. Title page is grubby with imprinting from ink on facing frontis at edges. Else contents clean. Black pictorial dustwrapper is lightly worn at edges, a little scuffed and some foxing to verso.
