Green pictorial cloth with gilt titles. 6 b/w plates. 286 pages plus 32 page catalogue at rear. Spine and corners bumped and slightly rubbed. A few small bubbles in the cloth on rear cover. Prize plate to front pastedown (name crossed out). Some fingering but contents generally clean. Last page of catalogue is slightly torn at inner margin.

First gathering of pages is loose. White pictorial wrapper is grubby, creased and edge worn, 1.5" loss to top of spine and slight loss to base, a few repairs on verso.

"Compliments" label stuck to front endpaper from John Bull (insurance) Xmas 1915. Pale browning to endpapers. Pencil erasure mark to front endpaper. Contents clean. Dustwrapper is just a little rubbed and marked. A nice copy of a scarce title.

Wrapper is faded to spine, with some foxing and chipping to edges, with minimal loss.
