Foxing and browning to textblock. Rear joint is cracked. Dustwrapper is price-cut, browned and edge chipped with some loss to top and bottom of spine. Foxed on verso of wrapper.

Ink number and doodle surround written to front free-endpaper. Inscription in ink to half title-page. Lower corner of half-title/frontis has been neatly removed. Dustwrapper is edge worn with slight loss to spine and corners, biro tick marks to title list on rear flap.

A super copy of a scarce first edition.
