Slightly better than good condition.
Blue pictorial paper boards. Spiral bound. Move the tabs and watch the characters move. Colour & b/w illustrations. Corners and cover edges worn, some scuffing and foxing. Neat name to front pastedown. Tab from first moveable has been torn off but still works. Tabs to all moveables are creased. Finally moveable is broken. A few pages have small tears or creasing to margin of bottom edge. A few fingermarks but generally clean.

The beautiful legend of how Ping Mei fell in love with the Princess, was put to death by her father and how his prayer was answered. Slim format. Pink cloth, gilt title/vignette to front cover. 16 pages. Colour illustrations. Spine bumped. Some browning to cover edges. Name in ink to front endpaper. Contents clean. Price-cut dustwrapper is a little bit grubby, edge chipped with loss, was torn in two pieces at spine but has been taped together on verso.

Blue cloth with gilt vignette to front and title to spine. Page edges blue. 16 colour plates with tissue guard to frontis piece. 546 pages. Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Name plate to front pastedown. Front joint is cracked showing webbing. Endpapers and tissue-guard of frontis are browned, there is some foxing. The contents are generally clean.

3/4 bound dark blue leather with raised bands and gilt title to spine, marbled boards and endpapers. Binding by Zaehnsdorf. 24 colour plates with captioned guards (mounted on to stiff green paper). 12 full-page tinted illustrations plus numerous b/w drawings. 549 pages. Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. 3 of the plates have light corner creases, all others in fine condition. Some light foxing (mainly to prelims and outer page edges). A very handsome book.
