Edited by Andrew Lang. Red covers with extensive gilt decorations. Containing 8 colour plates and numerous illustrations. 368 pages. All edges gilt. Bumping and wear to cover edges/corners. Some fading and what appears to be damp marking to covers. Ink stamp to front endpaper. Small name in ink to front pastedown. Joints are a bit cracked. Some browning. Pencil underling in places. Margin marks. Page corner creasing; a few small margin tears.

Spine is a bit faded with some light wear. Ink stain to edge of rear cover next to spine; with a few scuffs. Bookplate to front pastedown with a small amount of surface paper damage above. Inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper. Foxing to varying degrees to pages throughout book, with some other margin marks. The odd hinge pulled.
