Fair condition.
Dark red cloth with rose design printed in red, green and yellow on front cover and spine. Gilt titles to spine and front cover. Top edge gilt. 61 tissue-guarded colour plates. 3000 copies printed. A & C Black Colour Book 20 Shilling series. 4 page booklist to rear. Circa date from books listed in booklist to rear. Possibly published in same year as first, but first impression didn't contain the 4 page booklist. Spine is browned, with a little fraying to cloth at top and tail. Front joint is BROKEN! Only partially held on by a little stitching at top; this means the binding is weak/fragile. Page edge browning, with a few grubby marks.
