A medley of prose & verse for boys and girls. Contributors include Laurence Housman, Compton Mackenzie, Hugh Chesterman etc. One story illustrated in colour, packed with b/w illustrations. Cream cloth with blue titles and decorations on covers. Spine and corners rubbed, spine slightly browned. Half title-page is detached at lower 2". Colouring to quite a number of the b/w illustrations. Some light fingermarks to page margins.

Colour laminated boards - Rupert hiking in a field. 1st story Rupert and Poll Parrot. 10x7 inches. 107 pages. Spine and corners bumped and slightly rubbed. Light marks to covers. Endpapers are lightly browned, slight evidence of removal of a label to front free-endpaper. Name, adderess and date in belongs to box (blue biro). NOT price cut but price also written (in blue biro) 3 times to other corners of title-page. Crossword done in pencil. Painting contest part completed with entry form completed. Textblock is slightly grubby.

Blue cloth spine, pictorial front cover shows girl and horse's head. Title on front cover reads School Girl's Stories. Colour frontis plus b/w illustrations. 128 pages. Includes two articles and b/w illustrations by Louis Wain. Spine and corners bumped, covers edge worn. Damp stain to base of spine and affecting lower inner corners of covers. Inscription in ink to front free-endpaper. Tiny booksellers sticker to rear free-endpaper. Some light browning and foxing to endpapers and textblock. Dustwrapper is edge worn and grubby with damp staining to lower edges and some other marks, loss at edges.

Edited by G.A.Hutchison, stories by numerous authors. First item (a poem) is 'A Holiday Discovery' by Somerville Gibney. Blue & white pictorial paper wraps. Staple binding. B/w Frontis by Alfred Pearse plus numerous b/w illustrations by multiple people throughout. Adverts to front and rear. Staples rusty and bleeding therefore binding is a little fragile especially for the covers. Spine is worn with a little loss. Covers are browned. A few marks mainly to margins but overall a good copy for a magazine of this age!
