SIGNED by the author with dedication and a drawing to title page. Child's name & room number in black pen to front pastedown. Heavy foxing to text block and edge of prelims. Pictorial dustwrapper is edge-rubbed with a closed tear repaired to verso with clear tape so that it is barely visible to rear panel.

Stories by Natalie Joan, delightfully illustrated with 8 colour plates and b/w drawings in the text. Beige cloth spine with black title, pictorial front board showing mother putting child to bed. 77 pages. 10" x 7.25". Spine and corners slightly bumped and worn. Front joint has been repaired with white paper tape. Contents are pulled causing them to be a little loose. Some light foxing and other marks but generally contents clean.

Damp stain to lower edge of rear cover and spine edge browned. Small brown stain to edge of front cover and "Miss Ruck" and "5" written in red biro to top of front cover. Name and address in ink to front pastedown, name and date in ink to free-endpaper. Endpapers browned. Some light foxing and grubby fingermarks to contents (including a few plate margins but pictures unaffected).
