Stories and poems about pets. Pictorial boards showing three children at a gate and a small black dog. Green cloth spine. Mounted colour frontis (chromolithograph) plus b/w illustrations. 3 page book list to rear. Spine bumped and faded. Corners bumped and rubbed. Some marks to rear board. Front board a little grubby. Prize plate to front pastedown. Front joint and a couple of hinges cracked. Some pages a little detached at bottom but binding generally tight. Tears to a couple of pages. Page edge browning. Some fingering and a few marks to contents.

Large format. Attractive pictorial green cloth with gilt title to front cover, black title to spine and bevelled edges. Floral decorated endpapers. 104 pages, all edges gilt. B/w illustrations to text throughout. Spine and corners slightly bumped and rubbed. A few light marks to covers else bright and clean. Inscription in ink to half-title and a small ink mark to verso of front-endpaper. Half-title and last text page are lightly browned. One page has a horizontal tear to centre of page. Some light fingermarks to page margins otherwise a nice, clean copy.

Large format. Cloth spine. Pictorial front board shows boy and girl on barrel in the sea. Colour plates and b/w illustrations, all by the same artist, a few very similar to the style of Arthur Rackham. First story is "John, Topsy and the Raven". Lower edges rubbed, corners worn. Small patch of surface paper loss to top front corner of cover. A few stains to cloth spine. Belongs to box completed in pencil. Page browning else contents fine.

First story is "The Goose Step". Spine , corners and cover edges are worn. Name and address in pencil to front endpaper. Contents lightly browned and a bit grubby. Some inner margins are partly torn. Front joint split at top and bottom 2". Some hinges cracked/pulled causing contents to be a little loose.
