All plates present. One tissue guard detached. Foxing to tissue guards. Plates clean except for a very few which have minor foxing at the edges. A bright copy.

Detailed sections on spawning and homing, and a most interesting conclusion by the eminent author that salmon do not feed in fresh water. This raises an interesting question for those who indulge in fly-fishing! This book beautifully describes the strange and mysterious life history of the salmon. Some spotting to covers. Pale foxing to endpapers and outer page edges. Previous owners bookplate stuck to front pastedown. Wrapper is unevenly browned.
