A republication of the author's 1300 mile journey in 1885 in the 2-ton "Land Yacht Wanderer". Limited edition of 500 copies. Green boards, gilt title to spine. B/w illustrations. Author of many children's books, little did he think he would become the father of modern caravanning and first vice-president of the Caravan Club when formed in 1907. ISBN: 0907128157. This is copy no. 404. Spine and corners bumped. Inludes a small erratum slip stating "first published in leisure hour in 1885 and 1886". Dustwrapper is price-cut and slightly faded to spine.
