Very good condition in a good dustwrapper.
The story of a great family of councillors, governors, sportsmen and soldiers. Introduction by Sitwell. Blue cloth boards, gilt titles. B/w illustrations. Second impression. Some foxing present, mainly to endpapers and text block. Pictorial dustwrapper is heavily faded and edge-rubbed. Musty odour present.

Contains January 1895-December 1895 plus a supplement to rear. Three-quarters leather binding, blue cloth boards. Marbled endpapers and text block. B/w illustrations. Leather spine and corners worn with loss. Family name 'Holmes' in gilt to front board. Front joint is broken and front board is hanging on by one last cord. A few scattered foxspots but contents generally clean and tight.

Leather spine and corners badly worn with loss, most of spine is missing except '1894' in gilt. Family name 'Holmes' in gilt to front board. Front joint broken, front cover hanging on by the binding cords. A few minor foxspots else contents are generally clean and tight.
