Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper.
A broken ankle gives Annette Dancy an unexpected holiday at home in the lovely old peel tower where he family lives. Green cloth, gilt title to spine. Colour frontis and a couple of colour and b/w plates. Spine very slightly bumped. Light brown stain to lower corners of pages else a near fine copy. Wrapper, price-cut by publisher, has light brown stain at front corners, a closed tear repaired on verso and is rubbed at edges.

NO text. Not a book, but rather a 'box' that pulls up and out to show concertina style peep through 'view' of Tunnel under the Thames. 5 'pieces'. A tunnel book. 'Box' has become a bit crushed - one side is broken, but still attached on one side. Creasing to fold-out pieces and foxing and browning, but still pieces are remarkable bright. Box is worn and grubby.

Observers book No. 1. Brown cloth with black titles to spine and front. Describing two hundred and twenty-six species with 200 illustrations, 100 of which are in full colour. Damp spotting along edges of covers. Name to front endpaper. Hinge next to half-title page is partially cracked. Contents are still excellent. Wrapper has become a bit faded in places. Edge-chipped with a few tears and small pieces of loss. What looks like ink splash marks and dark brown spots, also to wrapper. Still remarkably full wrapper for its age.
