Illustration on page 15 of 2nd volume has been very neatly coloured in with crayons. A nice set. This copy would make a wonderful gift.

Brown boards, white lettering. Pictorial onlay of Timmy Tiptoes the little grey squirrel. The year 1911 appears on the title-page. The first two printings are believed to be identical. Small format. 85 pages. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Small booksellers sticker to front pastedown. Prelims are part detached. Front joint (between frontis and title-page is cracked and a couple of hinges are just starting to crack. Title-page is slightly finger-creased. Contents are generally clean.

SIGNED by illustrator ''To my friend Isaac Jones this '20 year old' with all best wishes Edmund Dulac Xmas 1948". This copy has been rebound with new endpaper, it has been done in the style of the original with 3/4 cloth and cream spine with the original title part of the spine laid on to the new spine. A little light foxing. All plates present.

Edges rubbed and scuffed, marbled sides scuffed. Joints starting to crack but binding still firm and tight. Subscribers list is MISSING from the rear. All plates present, some have a few small foxspots. Overall a nice copy of a scarce item.

Fair condition.
"A New Collection of Popular Tales" translated from the German by Taylor. 3/4 leather binding with gilt title and decoration to spine. Blue cloth to covers. B/w plates. Spine is rubbed and slightly darkened. Corners are slightly worn. There are a few light marks to the front cover. Both joints are cracked but not broken. Most of the tissue-guards to the plates have been removed. I think there may be an illustration to the prelims missing. Plate to page 200 has been repaired (was in two pieces has been laid down on a white piece of paper) and the last plate has lower corner torn off (actual illustration not affected). There is foxing and fingermarks to the contents. A decent copy overall of this very rare Brothers Grimm item.
