Name and date in ink to front endpaper. Foxing, mainly to endpapers and page edges. Dustwrapper is edge chipped and torn, loss to top and tail of spine.

Red cloth spine. Pictorial front board. Blue floral patterned endpapers. Chromolithograph and b/w illustrations. Rhyming text. Nister No: 2335 Spine and corners bumped and worn. A few small dents/chips to cover edges. Rear cover is a bit scratched and marked. Front joint partially cracked. Ink inscription to verso of front endpaper which is visible through front endpaper. Small margin tear to one page. Pages are lightly browned with a few fox spots and margin marks but generally clean. Creases across rear endpaper.

Large format. Yellow cloth spine. Black pictorial boards. Superb vivid full-page colour illustrations. Spine is bumped, a little worn and browned. Corners and cover edges are worn. Some scratch marks and small areas of surface paper damage to front cover. Back cover is slightly grubby with some light stains. Endpapers are browned. Closed tear of approx. 3cm to bottom edge of page 29/30. Only a very odd mark mark. Illustrations lovely and bright.

Kitty and Hal didn't mean to be late for school but so many things happened on the way... Delightful full-page colour pictures. Pictorial paper boards, green cloth spine. Publisher information states 'Blackie & Son, Limited' Glasgow and Dublin, which makes this edition pre-1910 (in 1910, Blackie dropped 'and Dublin' from the publisher information). This book has been rebound and rebacked, with new spine, but original covers and endpapers laid down. Appears to have new pastedowns. Some bumping and heavy wear to corners and cover edges. Names and inscriptions in ink to prelims. A few page edge tears, foxing and some grubby marks. Illustrations are lovely and bright for the age! This is a very early edition (the first being published in 1903). One gift inscription is dated 1904.

Deluxe, limited to 500 copies. Large format (32 x 26cm). White vellum binding with gilt titles and vignettes. 30 lovely tipped-in colour plates mounted on cream card with green decorative borders and captioned paper guards. Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. SIGNED by the artist, this is copy no. 304. Spine and corners are slightly bumped and slightly grubby. Ties missing. Name plate to front pastedown. There is slight bookworm or silverfish damage to the front endpaper and some slight foxing to contents but generally a very nice copy.

Gold cloth, red title and vignette to spine and red vignette to front cover. Colour frontis plate plus 6 b/w illustrations. 256 pages. Spine bumped and slightly darkened. Light foxing else contents clean. Later dustwrapper (lists a Dimsie book published in 1942 and is a few mm too short for the book!) is price-cut with a few small tears at edges, minimal loss to base of spine. Wrapper is also just a little grubby.

Telling the story of Pickles the puppy who is always getting into a pickle! Large format. Brick red cloth spine, with gilt title. Green cloth covers with orange and gilt titles. 24 delightful colour plates. Spine and corners slightly bumped. Very light mark to front cover else covers clean. Couple of tiny holes to spine. Front joint is partially cracked. Inscription in ink to half-title page. Some foxing, mostly to endpapers and prelims. Plates are bright and clean. Guards at gutter edges are worn in places and coming unglued. Plate XII has a green scuff vertically to verso (not affecting the illustration). Plate XVI is edge-worn. A few small closed edge tears to margins. Rear endpaper has been repaired at edges with magic tape and has one other closed tear. Despite faults this is a decent copy of a rare Aldin title.

Many inserts present and original sticker sheet - but no list to discover if any are missing - assumed all present. Wrapper is faded to spine with some edge-creasing.
