Endpapers and prelims lightly browned. Small drink(?) stains to lower margins of first half of the pages (small stain to lower textblock which has seeped into the pages - they are very small marks, not affecting the text).

Spine and corners bumped and worn with slight loss of paper covering to lower front corner. Some light wrinkling to paper covering on covers. Name in ink to front pastedown. Foxing and light fingering to contents, light pink stain to inner margin of last plate (affecting the illustration slightly). A very desirable copy of a scarce Wain title. This copy would make a wonderful gift.
