Blue pictorial cloth shows gilt children by large silver ball, black ivy decoration to edges. Colour frontis plus b/w illustrations. 380 pages. Serial stories are Mr. Burke's Nieces and Little Queen Mab. Spine bumped, worn and darkened, nicks to cloth at ends and small hole to front edge. Wear to corners, lower corners and edges bumped. Name in ink to front endpaper. Light browning showing adverts to verso of frontis. Foxing to title page, frontis tissue-guard and page edges/text block.
A Treasury For the Little Ones. Green, red and blue decorated cloth, gilt titles. Pictorial endpapers. All edges are gilt. B/w illustrations. 188 pages + booklist to rear. Spine and corners bumped and slightly worn. Some light fading and staining to lower corner of front cover. Foxing and some fingering to page margins. Staples rusty.

Colour title page. 279 pages plus 12 page of adverts at rear. All edges gilt. Spine and corners bumped and worn. Spine is faded. Some light marks to covers. Front and rear joint and some hinges cracked. Large inscription in ink to verso of frontis. Browning to prelims and some page edges. Foxing to prelims, book list pages, some page edges and plate edges. 1 colour plate is MISSING. Two colour plates have ragged edges and may have been re-inserted. Couple of tissue guards missing.
Small format. Brown pictorial cloth. A Victorian diary with 3 dates per page. A small b/w engraving for each date plus colour plates. Engraved and printed by Edmund Evans. Contemporary presentation inscription to front. Some neat entries, mostly modern but a few by original owner. Cloth very slightly rubbed and nicked to top and tail of spine. A very nice item.
