Very good condition in a very good dustwrapper.
The biography of the controversial, pioneering archaeologist whose advances in the techniques of excavation transformed our understanding of man's past. Brown cloth boards, gilt title to spine. B/w photos. ISBN: 0312006586. Base of spine lightly rubbed. Small foxspots to text block. Heavy knock to centre of rear board towards lower edge, also affecting the rear panel of dustwrapper (affecting the word 'Professsor'. Pictorial dustwrapper is otherwise lightly edge-rubbed with a few smalll nicks, spine is slightly sunned.
