Three-quarter brown leather binding, raised bands, gilt titles and decorations to spine. Marbled boards. 36 b/w plates plus text illustrations. x + 384 pages. Rebound with new endpapers. Contents are grubby, slightly foxed and browned.
Vellum bound with lovely gilt borders to covers. Black and gilt title box to spine. With 15 engravings by the First Artists, After Original Drawings. All edges gilt. Covers are a bit bowed. Some grubby and scuff marks to covers. Bookplate of previous owner to front pastedown. Inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper. Heavy foxing and browning to some pages throughout.

A series of highly finished engravings executed under the superintendence of Mr. Charles Heath from Alfred E. Chalon (printer to the queen) and other eminent artists with illustrations in verse by distinguished contributors, edited by Mrs Fairlie. Third Series. Very large format. Green embossed cloth with gilt title and decoration to front. B/w plates with tissue-guards and an accompanying verse. All edges gilt. Spine and corners bumped and a few small dents to cover edges. Discolouration to covers. Both free-endpapers missing. Heavy foxing to contents else clean.
