To place on record a history of the many vessels of this type that maintained the main channels of communication between Great Britain and the neighbouring countries during the greater part of the nineteenth century. Red cloth, gilt titles. B/w photos. Folding b/w scale diagrams. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Spine faded. Spine and corners bumped. Small split to base of spine and tiny dent to top edge of front cover.
