Large, heavy format. Red cloth, gilt titles. B/w pictorial endpapers. Tipped-in colour plates with captioned tissue-guards. 572 pages. Spine bumped and faded with 3.5" piece of red cloth stuck to top part of spine, looks like spine is missing underneath. Splits and fraying to both sides of middle of spine. Wear to corners and cover edges. Covers are grubby and marked. Rear joint starting to crack. Couple of tissue guards creased. Some grubby marks/fingermarks but most pages are clean. All plates present.

Blue cloth, gilt title to spine. Colour illustrations to text throughout. 45 pages. Spine slightly bumped. Name plate to front endpaper. Pale page browning else contents clean. Dustwrapper is just a little chipped at top and tail of spine, is a bit grubby and foxed to front edge of spine fold.
