Large format. Red cloth, black titles. Colour and b/w plates, 17 in total, 128 pages. Spine and corners bumped. Cover edges slightly darkened, small stain to top corner of front cover. Foxing to contents. Dustwrapper is edge worn and torn with slight loss, piece missing to top front corner.
Green cloth spine with gilt title and decorations. Orange patterned boards. B/w illustrations. Top edge yellow. SIGNED by the artist to half title-page. Spine is lightly browned. Textblock is just a little grubby. Publisher's green slipcase is a little browned at edges and top with minimal wear to opening corners.
Green decorated cloth spine with blue decorated boards. B/w illustrations. Spine slightly bumped and corners lightly rubbed. Contained in a green slipcase which is worn with two edges split.

Wrapper is edge-creased with a few tears and chips; repaired to verso with tape; faded to spine; minimal loss.
Imperial Edition. Red cloth, gilt title to spine and vignette to front cover. Grey endpapers. 8 b/w plates with tissue-guards. 655 pages, top edge gilt. Spine bumped and faded. A couple of small marks to covers. Foxing to prelims and textblock.

Blue boards, white title to spine. Superb full-page colour pictures. Large format. ISBN: 1850280649. Wear to top and tail of spine. Small white scuff mark to top edge of front cover. Wrapper is edge-creased, with small tear to top of spine.
Large, heavy format. Red cloth, gilt titles. B/w pictorial endpapers. Tipped-in colour plates with captioned tissue-guards. 572 pages. Spine is unevenly faded, with bumping. A few marks to covers. Prize plate to verso of front endpaper. Foxing to outer page edges. Some corner creases to plates, but still bright!
A collection of the advertisements in the original parts of novels by Dickens, edited by Darwin. B/w illustrations. Spine is very browned. Rest of covers are unevenly spotted with some grubby marks. Corners are bumped. Inscription in ink to front endpaper. Foxing to endpapers and outer page edges.

The first Dickens story Rackham attempted. Despite its ghostliness and opportunities for the supernatural, Rackham did not exploit these to the full. He seems to have voluntarily passed up the opportunity to terrify his readers, choosing instead to calm them with charming images of families enjoying the spirit of Christmas. Perhaps his choice resulted from the mood of national anxiety and tragedy of wartime. 147pp. 8 x 6". 12 colour plates plus b/w illustrations and decorations. First American edition. Lavender cloth, gilt titles and vignette to front cover. Grey/white pictorial endpapers. Some light bumping and wear to spine and corners. Fading to spine. Foxing to endpapers, outer page edges and a few page margins. All colour plates are present, with captioned tissue-guards. Wrapper is in two pieces, all the way down spine edge next to front cover; repaired previously to verso with tape. A few other closed tears and small nicks, but minimal loss.
