Almost very good condition. Brown pictorial cloth, dark brown titles and line decorations to front and spine. 4 b/w plates. The first book in the Chalet School series.
PRESUMED 1st edition - other titles in box opposite start of chapter one were 1st published BEFORE 1925 (also includes this title 'The School at the Chalet'). 335 pages of text, plus a list of 29 titles by May Baldwin printed to verso of last text page. Spine and corners bumped, rubbed and worn. Boards a little grubby. New endpapers. Some hinges cracked. Foxing throughout especially to page edges.
