Almost very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper.
Red boards, black title to spine. B/w frontis plate. 205 pages. Light bumping to spine. Small bump to top of front board. Bottom of boards slightly darkened. Pages browned. A little foxing to some page edges. Dustwrapper is edge worn with a couple of small tears which have been mended on verso with tape. Spine and rear panel are grubby.

- Tom Gay had a great contempt for girls and girls' schools but she was an honest, downright soul and had very little nonsense in her. One morning she appeared with a full-sized scowl which proved to be persistent. Daisy Venables, the Games Prefect came to be the target of her rudeness. But Tom became something of a heroine, first in the snowstorm with Daisy Venables and later by trapping 'burglars' in the stock-room of the school at dead of night.
