Almost very good condition in a poor dustwrapper. Sticky tape marks to covers. Some fading to bottom of spine. Foxing to endpapers, outer page edges and some page margins. Wrapper is heavily damaged, with large tears and chips all stuck back together with browning sticky tape.

Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. Light browning to cover edges. Inscription in ink to verso of front endpaper. Foxing to outer page edges. Wrapper is torn and chipped with small amounts of loss; creased; some tape repairs to verso.

  • Two pupils at Julian’s and Dick’s school win a scholarship, so that the school gets extra holidays. Because Anne and George have a mid-term break at the same time the Five decide immediately to go for a hike across the countryside. Julian plans to spend their first night at a bed and breakfast, but on the way there Timmy falls into a rabbit burrow and damages his leg. Consequently, Julian goes with George to Mr. Gaston, an expert on horses who also knows about dogs, and Dick and Anne carry on.
