Very good condition in a almost very good dustwrapper. The 15th Famous Five adventure which all began because of Timmy's wounded ear and the collar he had to wear... Red boards, black lettering. Pictorial blue and black endpapers. Two-tone & b/w illustrations throughout. 182 pages.

A little bumping to spine, corners and top of rear board. Light browning to endpapers and prelims. A few light marks to edge of text block otherwise contents are very good. A small tear to bottom corner of page 121/122. Dustwrapper is edge worn with a few small tears which have been mended on verso with tape. Rear panel and spine are a little grubby. A few foxspots to verso of rear panel.

  • George is worried as Timmy, has hurt his ear. She pays a visit to the vet, and he tells her to place a round cardboard collar on Timmy to prevent him from scratching the bad ear. George is annoyed when everyone starts teasing Timmy because of the collar, and she goes to the end of Carters Lane on the common to camp alone, free from people who laughed at Timmy. She also leaves a note telling her family where she had gone, and tells them to send her cousin Anne to the place if she was willing to come.When Anne comes to Kirrin Cottage and asks for George, Aunt Fanny tells her about Timmy wearing the collar and George being annoyed. So she leaves for the common. She goes there, only to find nobody.
