Circa 1950s, cover illustration by Fred White. Wear to spine, corners and cover egdes. Surface paper damage to front cover affecting Mary in title. Staples rusty marking spine. Tear and creasing to front edge of spine. Covers grubby with light creasing. Writing/lines to inside of front cover plus 2.5 x 1" patch of surface paper damage. Two letters written on inside of rear cover. Two small doodles to title page. Pages are edge browned with a little foxing, have a few small margin tears and are a bit grubby. A reading copy.
