Very good condition in a fair dustwrapper. Cream pictorial cloth. The first book in the "Adventure" series. 326 pages. B/w illustrations.

Spine and corners bumped. Some slight marking to covers (from old tape which has been used on dustwrapper as reinforcement and has now browned). Heavy foxing to endpapers, prelims and textblock. A few small marks to front endpapers. Contents generally clean. Dustwrapper is slightly edge chipped, grubby and foxed and has tape on verso as previously mentioned (slightly showing through to front).

Secret passages, old forgotten copper-mines on the island, men hidden there doing strange things. a path under the sea-bed itself - there are no end to the adventures that the four children have, Then there is Kiki, the parrot, whose ridiculous chatter delights the children and who shares in their amazing adventures.
